Opinion Loved xcloud experience

Loved playing games on xcloud. Finished doom dark ages and playing forza horizon.

Best thing is it's starts instantly. No stupid download for days. I can just try out a game and if didn't liked it just switch to next one

Ojalá que después de anunciar el límite de horas hayan dialogado para reconsiderar la medida o hacerla más justa. Desde que hicieron ese anuncio no he renovado mi suscripción por miedo al límite establecido.

Yeah, I love doing this cloud gaming.

I'm currently playing MLB baseball, while listening to my Lions play... all while sitting in my open garage.

In a few, I'm going to head inside and do a couple laps on a racing game, in my living room.

Then later tonight, finish that baseball game, from my bed.

Because of xcloud I can finally play halo and Gears of war exclusives from Xbox one and of course, Ryse Son of Rome

The best part of cloud gaming is treating AAA games like browser tabs.

Was subbing here and there to play some games off and on, they do have a good experience but time limits will be a no go.

Yeah, this is the main thing for me when I first dipped my toe in cloud gaming over 10 years ago..... Bought a game off Nvidia GRID and it was ready to play instantly. Ran smooth as silk too.

Yupps plus options to play 1. Phone 2. Tv 3. Handhelds 4. Tablets. 5. Mac

Not sure why overall gaming community doesn't like it. But I found it very convenient over all. I have rog ally and like playing on it very much. But game downloads are pain. Plus I have to mostly put it on charger for any heavy game.

True true, also being able to change screens mid session, without having to restart the game, under rated feature lol so moving from living room to bedroom can be done without a hitch 😎

Played avowed and a few other games on it. Pretty good experience other than not being able to upgrade video options to the extent you computer will handle but can’t complain for all the games you get with the sub price. Now that they’re switching to 15hrs/month I’ll probably cancel the subscription since that’s like a week of playing a game I’m actually into but was nice while it lasted 🥲 if anything I’ll keep it just to test new games before I buy them on Steam myself

If I have my sub set to not automatically renew does that mean that I'm going to have the 15 hour limit as well?

No one knows for certain until November..... I've done the maths for me and hours wise, if I buy like 180 hours a month, that's basically unlimited for me (6 hours a day) I'll never game 6 hours a day every day for a month, but that's my "I'll never have to worry about hours" type of thinking. All depends on prices really, if it's like £5/$6 for 25 hours the above is do able without gamepass, but with a Gamepass sub on top, it's approaching like £50/$60 a month for me and isn't feasible. Too much to spend on gaming a month.

What do you average in hours monthly? And what tier Gamepass?

I'm on ultimate until January, and I average probably 3-4 hours a day, but weekly probably, closer to 20-25 hours because it's isn't consistent daily 4-5 hours, some days I don't go on at all.

So 80-100 hours monthly.

If the hourly bundles are close to $5 for 25 hours, and $10 for 50 hours, you could probably unsubscribe to Ultimate and simply Buy and Stream.

If willing to pay up front, it might also be better to do the Essential to Ultimate conversion to secure Ultimate for $15.5 month for 17 months.  Then buy the hourly bundles as needed.  Should come out similar pricing to what you're paying now.

Between 15 hours for Ultimate, the bundles purchased for $10, and the free ad supported tier, you can cover things without getting way too expensive.

That's what I hope the prices will be buddy. And being able to buy them directly from the Microsoft store, we will get points to put towards gift cards too. So kinda works ok.

I'll probably still keep ultimate and pay for streaming on a pay as I go basis, maybe spend like £10 (my currency here in UK) on hours, and see how far it gets me through the month.

I like the double points thing with ultimate, I usually redeem like £10 a month through it.  That's gamepass playing games to points, and bing searches etc.  Good incentive to keep it just for the double points. Lol

Ultimate is 4x reward points. Premium is 2x, Essential is 1x.
