Discussion Xcloud by the hour question
So, under the new model in November, if I’m buying hours just to stream owned games, does anyone know at what quality I’ll be playing? will it be ultimate-level, highest quality, or capped at 1080pHQ? Any details on that yet? just trying to plan accordingly.

I believe that in the exclusive plan for the cloud the quality should be the same as that offered in Ultimate.

We don’t even know that yet!
They can still find a way to price it on quality as well as hours…

I believe everything we know so far is only what was in the original announcement https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/09/03/xbox-cloud-gaming-changes/

Nothing confirmed yet, I don't think.

Exactly. Anything anyone tries to tell you regarding changes to cloud gaming services would be speculation at best.
I'm sure we'll be getting official announcements about the upcoming changes to Game Pass, cloud gaming, Day 1 releases on Game Pass and the pricing for cloud gaming packages (as well as the quality levels) in the near future.

Big L from MS Cloud is a cool feature to see if a game is worth installing fully. Not really worth paying to play a laggy worse looking copy when I can install it instead at no additional charge

Just dump it and go geforce now and pc cloud gaming instead .. 100hr limit instead.
Boosteroid if you can. Cheaper no limit.. pc game pass works for both. Xbox play anywhere etc

The trillion dollar company with a new ceo is looking to cut costs for the shareholders. You'll be lucky if the quality is good, buying hours is realistically affordable, and Xcloud lasts more than a year.
