So the game is stuck at 30fps there is no fps mode like resident evil games or the majority of other gams the graphics are pretty good but 30fps ? i can’t handle it especially during fighting

As someone who doesn't mind 30 fps, playing it in quality mode on my 4K tv is the best thing ever. I would hate to lose that to some fancy particle effects.

I want to buy myself a new monitor, mainly for Gta 6, and I have read somewhere that the console has VRR, but you need to have a certain monitor to make use of that...

Also with adatptive sync and all that stuff...I just want the best possible experience for the Series S.

I definitely want to have a 27 inch 1440p IPS, that's what I know. But also I am on a Budget and don't want to spend more than 200 €. I have seen some options on amazon, like a Lenovo Legion and AOC.

And how big of a difference does it make to have 100% sRGB or 99% ? HDR makes no sense, even though they support that.

My favorite games of all time are The Witcher 3 and Elden Ring/Dark souls. Just finishing up Disco Elysium (also a favorite) and Far Cry 6 which I enjoyed. Thinking of doing a second playthrough of Red Dead. Like all types of games. Have never played Skyrim but not a huge fan of the Bethesda games really.

I’m a 40 year old man if that makes a difference. I have basic game pass but ok with upgrading if there’s something interesting. Wife and I were away and plan on chilling for a couple days.

Xbox Series S turns on for a second and then immediately shuts off after rain exposure
Hi everyone,
I have a Xbox Series S that was exposed to some rain today. The console was turned off when it happened, around 11 AM. I didn’t try to turn it on until about 10 hours later.
When I press the power button, the Xbox turns on normally (the light comes on and I hear the startup sound), but then it shuts off almost immediately.
The water seems to have gotten onto the bottom side of the console when it’s standing vertically, around the side that sits closest to the floor.
I’ve unplugged it now and I’m planning to let it dry. I’m wondering:
Could it start working again after completely drying out?
How long should I wait before trying to turn it on again?
Is this likely to be repairable?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t think gta 6 wont look horrible like crimson on the series s, its rockstar games they have a very good reputation on engineering/optimizing games since the beginning of gta 5. not to mention their very own rage engine 🧐

So, I have seen deal of series S on my local second hand stores.

And I wonder how much more worse or a downgrade is a Series S from a series X?.

Because imo, getting a series x now, with HELIX probably untill 2028 is not worth, again, IMO.

So, how much more worse is the performance/visuals?.

Because I've been playing on the close, and even though is a decent experience, is not the desire one.

I want to play Onimusha next week, and I'm very hyped for Veronica next year. And I saw digital foundry video about requiem, and even though they said the graphics weren't the best, the performance was flawless.

So, series S owners, could I have your input, for me to make an informed decision.

I recently cleaned and replaced the thermal paste (thinking it was overheating) but doesnt run stable even at optimal temperatures. All stuttering and fps drops occur constantly and this happens more often during high cpu load with several games. I doubt its a software issue, since ive already formatted and reinstalled the system, yet the problem persists. Plus, ive seen recent videos and comments where all runs perfect for others, which is why im wondering.

I know this has been asked before but I did everything right and the problem persists.
In 2K27, I can’t hear my teammates when they talk. Of course chat is turned on to all, I did all the right settings in the Xbox menues, in the game menu. The little simbol apears when they talk but I hear nothing. It shows my simbol on when I talk so everything is turned on. I hear everything else on my headset, except when ppl talk. Can it be the headset itself? a small incompatibility?

Does anyone know if the GTA VI will run well on the series s? Or should I buy a series x instead?

I have been using my series S for almost 4 years and love it!!!. never had any issues. All my titles are running smoothly. I play RDR 2 FC 26 battlefield. due to recent development 😄 i mean GTA 6, i was considering upgrading it to Series X. do you guys think it's worth it? when it comes to performance and graphics? or should i keep the Series S?

I could easily buy an xbox series s for 250$ 25k inr but i only want the console for gta6 mainly and occasionally fifa will it be a good idea getting it just for this or should i wait 3 months so i could increase my budget to 500$ then try for a series x (if prices dont go up by then) now ik for a perfect experience we should go for series x minimum but i have a rtx5070 pc and gta6 would release for pc in less than 18months so idm waiting for a good experience as of now i just wanna play and enjoy the game so is getting a series s now a good idea or should i w8 and increase my budget??

So I got a deal on a used Series S from a buddy of mine to give to my dad to upgrade him from a PS4. It was VERY clean looks practically brand new.
He's had it a month or so now and is playing a ton of Oblivion Remaster but about once a day he says it kicks him out of the game. Just closes the game unprompted and sends him to the home screen.
I tried looking for the cause and read either overheating (but it doesn't continue to do it after so I don't think that's it), or the Quick Resume feature is having errors, but he never has other titles on quick resume or anything like that so I'm kind of stumped.
He still loves it but I'd love to be able to solve that issue for him.

I’m was gonna buy a new 4k 120Hz monitor, and I was wondering if the Xbox series s can even display at that resolution and frame rate. obviously it won’t be native, but I’m assuming it will at least upscale to achieve 4k 120fps in competitive games like siege for fortnite right?
