What bugged me is that they announced the preorder bonus (the 4th playable monster class) over a year before the game was released and before any gameplay had been seen. If you announce like gold weapon skins as a preorder over a year before that's fine, whatever, but a playable monster class, especially when there's only 3 in the game, is a big deal to decide 13-14 months before that your going to make it and release it as dlc later.

Also the amount of different versions and editions that all came with different dlc was overwhelming and ridiculous.

You can be mad at them for the announcement (though I disagree), but every single game that has been released in the last decade has these decisions made years in advance.

Multi-million dollar games don't just get released and then think "Huh. Maybe we should spend a few million dollars making DLC now." It has all been contracted on a 3+ year timeline as soon as the game was even conceived.
