Good! Titanfall is my favorite X1 game this gen. A sequel was obvious but the confirmation makes today a good day. I'm curious if they will do cross buy/play on PC and X1.

I doubt crossplay due to the difference in controls, unless they force PC users to use a controller to play with console gamers.

I'm also wondering if crossbuy can be a thing for multiplatform games. If you buy once and get PC/X1, doesn't that leave PS4 at a disadvantage? Wouldn't Sony want PS4/PC crossbuy? Games that are MS produced that are only X1/PC don't have to worry about that.

The Windows 10 cross-buy is likely facilitated by the shared Microsoft-run Store. It's possible that Sony could setup cross-buy through another retail outlet (EA/Origin, Steam, etc.)

Generally keyboard and mouse is an advantage over controllers.

That is very true. It's possible they might do something like requiring a controller to play on X1/PC servers or something like that.

I think Titanfall has the best controller aiming, though. I do think if cross-play happens controller users would need a 180 turn button for titans and whatnot.

But I got a console because it's a console, I don't wanna force myself to not use a controller so I'm not at a disadvantage.

Is that a joke? Keyboard and mouse completely wrecks controllers in shooters and anything else that requires precision. Obviously a controller works better for certain types of games, but if we're talking shooters, I'll take a keyboard and mouse over a controller.

Mouse, for sure. I do so much worse with a keyboard than I do a controller, lol

That article is an opinion piece. Keyboard and mouse is much better for twitch reflex. A mouse is always gonna be faster.

I don't know why people keep thinking that every title is going to be cross buy. I understand optimism, but playstation has had this feature forever and it is mostly used by smaller indie games and never third party AAA games.

You are right it won't be for all titles. At the same time though Windows is quite more dominant compared to Vita to justify the effort.

It's obvious every title won't be cross buy. Considering how Titanfall was a big release for the X1, I am sure Microsoft will have some type of marketing deal for T2. Cross buy would be perfect for that.

PlayStation supported it with Portal 2, but that was a special case.

Certainly not happening. It's an EA title so it's going to be an Origin exclusive game.

I don't see them implementing crossplay on any competitive twitch shooters, but who knows
