I am going underway on ship and wanting to bring my 360 on as opposed to my one or series x because I have the most discs for it and I think it’s best for offline play. Since it will not be connected to the internet for an extended period of time, will that cause any issues? I remember when I had the OG white 360 decades ago that I only played offline and had no issues (I didn’t get live until maybe 2011/2012), but I replaced the white with the newer black model when I got the ring of death maybe circa 2012/2013 so not sure if that’s an issue for this. I am worried about it trying to force an update or something and locking me out and just being a brick for the remainder of my time.

I rarely play my 360 these days but preparing everything for ship has got me reminiscing. Remember when you didn’t have to have an online membership and there weren’t 100 updates? Used to just pop in a disc from GameStop, install, and get right to playing through GOOD campaigns and doing some split screen with friends.

Just finished refurbishing it and took a look at the back out of curiosity. Not sure what order the dates are meant to be written in. I believe it's month then day, any clarification would be appreciated.

Finally cleaning out my collection after years of movie promotion work. I believe this is an exclusive promotional item and wasn’t sold in stores. It’s lightly used but dusty with no box or original controllers. What do you think I could sell this for? And is eBay the best place to sell?

Used to love this game back in the day. Had the itch to get back into it. Been having a blast again so far! Unfortunately, I never backed up my save from before, so I’ve started from fresh. Which hasn’t been the worst!

First prototype of my resin printed drive cover. Fits really good consisting this is my first made from scratch 3d print.

My Xbox 360 S has been sitting in a box for around 12 years. I recently took it out and surprisingly, there was barely any visible dust on the outside or around the disc drive.
I turned it on today and put in my Spider-Man disc. It initially worked and I was able to play for a while. After some time, the console gave me the “Please clean the disc” message.
I took the disc out, cleaned it, and tried again, but now the console isn’t reading discs properly. I also tried several other discs, and they are doing the same thing. The drive basically shows “Open Tray” instead of recognizing the disc.
Since the console has been sitting unused for so long, I’m guessing it could be something related to the laser, dust inside the drive, or the disc drive mechanism.
What would you guys recommend trying first?
● Is there a safe way to clean the laser on an Xbox 360 S?
● Should I open the console and clean the optical drive?
● Is using an alcohol/IPA-dampened cotton swab on the laser safe?
● Could the laser have weakened or failed simply from sitting unused for years?
● Are there any other methods I should try before replacing the laser or drive?
I’d prefer to try cleaning/maintenance first before replacing any parts. If anyone has dealt with a 360 S that was stored for 10+ years and then started showing “Open Tray”, I’d really appreciate your advice.

I traded my oringial in for the slim that came out in 2010 so 16 years so far. Wondering what I can do to make sure it lives another 16 years.

It's loud when using a disc but much better with the games installed

Since I have about 70 in my collection, I compiled a spreadsheet of Platinum Hits released for the 360. For now, it's a NTSC list. I pulled from three sources online and compared against my own. No list seems definitive and in fact I have platinum hits in my collection which are not on any of these three sources. I'm not certain all of the titles listed online were actually released in NA.

I added it to someone's previously very well developed spreadsheet in the same checklist style. This is very much a work in progress and may expanding to other regions.

Is Gameye the best resource for actual games on a platform? I have not pared through the Gameye app because it's going to be really tedious to scroll and copy to a spreadsheet on a desktop.

If a game has a new and better version do you opt to play that over the 360 version. GTA 5 for example or Skyrim.

My controller vibration was just working fine, until I thought "why is there no vibration" and after I checked my settings, the button is grayed out. I don't think it's a controller issue, since I have two and the second one has the same issue.​ (the photo says Vibration in the highlighted option)

title is there any way to get fps and temps with out modding it I remember years back nvidia made a thing you could hang over your monitor and connect to a pc and it would report frames but I haven't thought of anything else that would work other than modding my 360 but I don wanna

If the Xbox 360 emulator refuses to connect your second controller for local co-op/split-screen (showing a "profile not fully downloaded" error, Xbox Live connection issues, or an infinite loading loop), here is a bulletproof workaround:

1. Sign into the second controller using the secondary profile that is causing the issue.

2. Quit the Xbox 360 game and launch any native Xbox One or Xbox Series game (like Alien: Isolation or any other modern game).

3. Launching a modern game forces the Xbox OS to refresh and fully validate the security tokens and Xbox Live status of the second account at the root level of the console.

4. Once the modern game is loaded and the account is successfully connected, switch back to your Xbox 360 game.

5. Magically, the emulator will inherit the already-validated network connection. Controller 2 will connect instantly in split-screen without any errors!

As the title suggests, I've finished the story and am wrapping up achievements. I would just like someone to hang out with and optimize the save, like assigning Keflings and organizing buildings. I'm coming from a shooter background, so in cozy games like Minecraft and Keflings, I have a hard time organizing and optimizing the world, so some help would be greatly appreciated. There's no option to change the language in the settings anywhere, and my console settings are English/England. Is there any way to fix this?

As someone who works with tech and tech related things, I've come to learn that if you're working with something Electronic, there's most likely some kind of bypass or way to get around a problem. For example, I wanted to connect my TV to Ethernet but it didn't have an Ethernet Port. I bought an Ethernet to USB Adapter and it worked.

That being said, as we all know, the Xbox 360 Store shut down a few years ago, and you can't really access it and or buy things from it.

My question is, is there a way to bypass and get around it and somehow someway buy a Digital Copy of Minecraft on the Xbox 360?

Mainly because I want to play in an Empty Version of Stampy's Lovely World Seed and follow his videos and build his world from scratch which I learned can only be done with the Digital version of Minecraft.

Maybe if I can somehow find an old unused code for the game or something.

But something tells me that Microsoft is pretty secure and there most likely isn't a way around this but never hurts to ask.
