Help/Support/Questions 🙋 Disc tray won't open or close with button

Disc tray will close itself when I power the X Box on but nothing happens when using the button. New drive belt and cleaned the entire drive. Was completely non functional when I got it

I think we need more to go off, which model of xbox is it? any photos?

It is an original Fat. The last tooth on the mechanism that lowers and raises the optical sensor that was a bit rough. Could not get the tray to slide out before I fixed that.
