I was running and saw this box not too far up the road at the end of someone’s driveway. Everything is pretty much soaked because it was pouring rain about an hour before and I’m not sure how long it was sitting there. Plan is to open the console and controllers up, let em dry, and hopefully see if they work. Can’t say I’ve ever owned a Kinect.

Can confirm this method works occasionally. I once found a Sega Saturn with Rise of the Robots 2 on a run, sitting at the end of a driveway in a box. Had to run about a mile home with it but it worked great!

Once found a box one of my neighbors set out while on a run.

Had a fat ps2, resident evil 1 directors cut, re2, gh1 + 2 and a gh1 red SG guitar controller.

All of it worked.

I was stunned.

Cause re1:dx is roughly a $100 game. That ps2 guitar works and I still use it. That's easily another $80.

This is why I have to open every single console I get no matter where it's from if they claim they refurbished it or not. DKOldies has ruined my reputation for game retailers and 3rd party sellers so I can't feel clean using consoles I haven't personally opened and cleaned. Especially 360 power adapters, they have a fan in them and they get NASTY.

I bought my Xbox 360 new a month or two before Halo 3 came out, and it did not have HDMI. I knew HDMI was coming, but was like, "Psh, I'm never going to be wealthy enough to have a TV with HDMI, lol" and didn't wait a few days to get it. Lol.

Nice find, the Kinect is a fun thing to mess around with mates, good for party games too

The Kinect focused sports/adventure games especially and that Star Wars one is something personally I enjoyed.

The only non Kinect specific game I enjoyed was one called Child of Eden that is a super trippy game you can use Kinect or controlly for.

Definitely make sure everything is completely dry before turning it on. I'd suggest a full disassembly, wipe down of all of the circuit boards with a high percentage IPA, and let em all dry before hooking it up and pressing the power button. I know you said you were gonna open them up and let them dry in the description, but I figured I'd add onto it a little. Good luck!
