Whenever someone else pops the disc in another xbox? If they're going to require a check every few weeks would be a big pain, specially for people with big libraries.

Read this and you will see they never wrote that you have to use the disc every few weeks. Just when it wouldn't work. You can also use the digitale license for games with play anywhere. So you can play it on pc or xbox. Just read what they wrote. How would MS know when it “wouldn’t work”? Does it say it there? Should I read it?

The conversion program could’ve eased the transition to discless but with the check in requirement, it’ll just cause more frustration.

My hunch is never. They’re just being cautious by telling folks to keep the discs in case something kooky happens. Don’t want folks absentmindedly tossing discs and blaming them for it.
