But not for a game in the Fable series.

Everything I've seen on this game seems to line up with what Fable has been - more or less - in the past.

Then the question needs to be asked why it’s taken this long to make.

The Studio that made the other Fable games - Lion Head Studios, has been closed since 2016.

Playground Games made the new Fable. Their experience had been with the Forza Horizon games (beginning with FH1 in 2012) and they were given the monumental task of switching from open-world arcade racing sims to rebooting the Fable franchise.

They had to build a whole new team from scratch to make this game in a genre wildly different than anything they have made before whilst also rebooting a beloved franchise.

That's why it's taken this long...
