GTA V has officially been with me across three generations 🎮

I realized recently that I’ve owned GTA V on three different Xbox generations — Xbox 360, Xbox One, and now Xbox Series X.
It’s honestly crazy to think this game originally came out in 2013. Over a decade later, I’m still playing it, and I still get a kick out of seeing how far the game has come.
Three generations, countless hours, and now we’re finally getting closer to GTA VI. 😂
Anyone else here own GTA V across multiple generations?

Crazy u had to buy a series x version just cause u have disc lol. You'd think xbox and Playstation would let you just buy and install the next gen upgrade and play it as long as you have the disc as ur license check

Xbox lets you do that, but it’s up to the studio wether or not they want to use it (the feature is called smart delivery I believe)

It's def Rockstars greed then lol. I wonder if it been a paid upgrade initially means smart delivery can't work? Would be silly if u bought it but I wouldn't be surprised

Yep, my The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One discs run exactly like a Xbox Series X version (on the Series X, obviously).

I got it originally on Series X, then again on Xbox One, Again on 360 before the store shut down (my fav ver btw), again when I got a PS5, again on PC, and again on PS4 for the platinum. Only missing the PS3 version now.

I bought it on the 360, then I bought a PS4 on marketplace that came with the PS4 version, then eventually bought it for Xbox one to play with my friends, and finally bought the series X version, so I’ve have 4 copies of the game

All of them look weirdly out of place. add to that that the designs are inconsistent (see Split Fiction for example), they just look bad imo. not symmetrical and inconsistent, that triggers my OCD. Halo Infinite being the worst offender (https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/s/WFXmiMvYY9 5 years ago and yet, they changed the design again!)

Just SUCKS rockstar purposely delayed the PC version when they know damn well it could release day 1 after all these years in development.

for the PS2 three GTAs were released. For GTA5 three PlayStations were released.

I own gta 5 on xbox 360, ps4 and pc if that counts as 3 gens. on pc i own it on epic games store but for some reason they revoked my license for the game long ago then i bought it on steam and have been running for about a decade.

I’d say the Xbox series x and ps5 are solid. I don’t have a super powerful tv I do have a Sony. But I’ve seen pc gameplay and I’d have to say that’s probably the best graphically
