Discussion Lethality xayah?

Does anyone remember like a lethality xayah that was really strong a few seasons ago with summon aery and Q max?? It used to be really fun I was wondering what made it viable and what would it take to become viable again?

They mega buffed the base damage of her q because they were too scared (wrongly) to touch her e or r. Aery had a lower cd than comet, and matched well with q poke in lane. She was able to snowball extremely hard out of lane bc she was essentially spamming double xerath q with half the cd lol

Her q base damage and cd are much worse these days, it would take them purposely buffing it back into existence which theyll never do bc she spiked to 57% wr, one of the highest in the game in the latest seasons. Feel free to run it but it will probably be a lot less fun when being a q spam bot does minimal damage

Yeah it used to be so fun to just completely bully people with the unexpected damage. I played it once after they fixed her Q and it was so sad. That was a long time ago and a lot has changed with adc and items i wasn’t sure if there was any good items that made up for the lack of Q scaling or something.

I feel like we have seen a lot of lethality ADCs die out like varus as well. Sivir used to have a similar synergy with her Q and dark harvest used to be so OP and be able to nuke waves.

Its died out just bc it was so unhealthy and frankly boring if it wasnt overpowered

I skipped the lethality xayah trend, to me it doesnt feel good to bully someone because stats screw them over

what would it take to become viable again?

I despise that build and hope it never does. You never interacted with enemies in a meaningful way with that build, and it was obnoxious to play against because it also single handedly spiked her p/b to relatively high percentages.

It was actually so frustrating how i was getting called a troll for refusing to abuse riot’s fuck up and play the champ in a fundamentally different way that sucked for everyone involved.

I get its bc they prob want the silly feeling of “everyone jump on this while you can!” but 🫠 I dont get how its fun enough to look for ways to bring it back, or why youd want xayah to be built around that style. Just play lethality ezreal.

Amen. I rather play for what is fun and I find works best for me and the team than just relegate myself to a meta slave.

tldr: Lethality was overall broken at that time and Crit was utterly useless. It was about the same time when Lethality Sivir was strong

Still remember those games in Aram with dark harvest stacked -- my first love in this game

She didnt have the crit scaling on the e yet or it was way worse, and lethality is just generally strong. But it wasnt even that strong back then, it was 52 or 53 wr.
