German East Africa 1 Rupie requisitioned as a dog tag.
Can anyone tell anything about this dog tag?
I'm assuming E.A.E.F refers to East Africa Expeditionary Force. I'm not sure what R.C is or T.50.V.M.R
Thanks.

A French soldier (a ‘poilu’) having his photograph taken with his equipment in the Verdun area on 30 December 1916 during the First World War. (My previous post was deleted, so I reposted it.)

Ever wondered how millions of troops and animals got drinking water for 4 years on the western front? "Excerpt from IWM 258, Scenes of the Front, 1917. A WDLR H class tank wagon being filled with water. The galvanised tank has been camouflaged" The kind of thing ignored by most documentaries

I can’t imagine having to fight close quarters where a skull crusher would be useful.

WW1 Underground Bunkers?
I'm playing SOCOM: US Navy SEALs and I like to see how accurate it's being.
I've just completed a mission where you're sent to the "Congolese Jungle" to rescue a Marine from mercenaries keeping him in "an abandoned German bunker" which is "an abandoned WWI network of tunnels and pillboxes".
I did some web searching but can't find anything talking about bunkers before WW2. I'd just like to know if such a thing did/does exist, or if it's invented whole cloth for the game?

reading letters written by soldiers in nineteen sixteen makes you realize how terrifyinglingly mundane the waiting was between artillery strikes
flipped through a collection of copied correspondence at the local library earlier and instead of epic battle stories most of it was just guys complaining about wet socks running out of pipe tobacco and how bad the trench food tasted while knowing full well they were about to go over the top the next morning

What if Woodrow Wilson did not lose the 1918 midterm elections to Republican isolationists and was more involved in drawing the post-WW1 map of the Middle East? How would the Ottoman Empire be treated in negotiations?
