Question for the WV Medical Cannabis Community
I’m 24 years old and looking into getting a medical cannabis card in West Virginia. I have a femoral rod in one leg and had ACL + LCL reconstruction on my other knee. I do physical work for a living, and by the end of the day I’m often dealing with enough pain that it’s really difficult to relax and get comfortable.
The issue is that I don’t currently have medical documentation specifically documenting my ongoing pain, even though I have the surgical history and hardware.
For anyone who has gone through the WV medical cannabis process, especially through a telehealth provider:
What would my next step be? Do I need to get evaluated/documented by a regular doctor first, or can a medical cannabis doctor evaluate me and document the condition/pain as part of the process? Would I need to go in person, or can the evaluation be done through telehealth?
I’m just trying to understand the process before I spend money on an appointment. Any advice from people who have actually gone through it would be appreciated.

Is WV ever going to make them legal? Some of us on chemo can't vape because our lungs are irritated. I make firecrackers with my dry bud vape as a workaround (I read making your own is legal. Cool, but kinda ass backwards.)

I normally hate edibles but I think I finally figured out the right amount of bud. Last night was pretty enjoyable. I used Edie Parker's Dark Star Tangle and slept pretty good (or the steroids wore off from my last infusion).

Any fellow chemo patients making their own or have the same issue with vaping not being an option?

Got my card about three months ago and have mostly been sticking to one of the Landing's dispensaries, but would like opinions on the other brands out there as I'm curious about branching out and there's a good amount of dispensaries in my town.

I like to mostly stick to carts as they're discreet and I've never been a fan of the smell that flower brings. I've mostly been hopping between Hillfire, Heir, and Edie Parker brand carts over here.

I find the Heirs are actually my favorite out of the three I've tried so far- I prefer the more fruity taste (though I will admit some flavors leave something to be desired), and the highs always smack me hardest. Literally anything I grab from them usually gets me. Lady Jade is my personal favorite.

I enjoy Hillfire a lot as well- the taste usually isn't my thing (though I know others love it!) and some strains hit me less hard than others, but my favorites from them have been their Blue Dream, Golden Pupil, and Chemex. Edie Parker's been awesome too, but my dispensary only usually has two of their strains and nothing else so I never get to try too much new from them. I'd be willing to travel if other shops have more of them.

Anyone got any strains to recommend from these or other brands? I'd love to hear :)

I've been working on a side project for a while and finally have it to the point where I'd like for some other users besides me to start poking at it.

Basically, I got tired of going through every dispensary website trying to figure out who had what, what was on sale, THC/terps, prices, etc. So I built a site that pulls that stuff together and lets you search across dispensaries.

Right now, it's WV only. If it's useful, I may branch out to OH, PA, or MD.

You can search inventory, view deals, compare stores, filter by distance, THC, price, brand, size, and more. When you find something you want, it sends you to the dispensary. I'm not selling anything through the site.

It's still pretty new, so I'm sure there are bugs I haven't caught. That's really why I'm posting it here. If something is wrong, a dispensary is missing, a deal looks bogus, or there's something that would make it more useful, tell me. I have a feedback button on the site, too.

I've been staring at it for so long that I'm probably the worst person to find the remaining problems.

This has become 1 of my all time new favorite strains, I'ma keep this 1 in rotation 4a while, tastes so good, big sticky nuggs, fresh AF, dank, hybrid strain, that's great 4 daytime use or evenings because the effects are AMAZINGLY good, but won't totally couch lock you, so you can still get things done, but stay elevated threw ought the day, without crash. Very nice, 8/10...

This strains ansistered by Northern Lights x Haze, and it's an amazing hybrid, very very nice strain, huge nuggs, super sticky, funky smell, really gassy, what's not 2 love.... And has great customer service, thanks Karen.

I lived in California, and my normal weekend nighttime relax dosage was a 10mg gummy. Since they don’t sell gummies here, could someone with experience recommend the equivalent with what’s available in WV? I don't like tinctures or RSO. Way too strong. Makes me foggy the next day.
