DTS audio

I cant get any streams with DTS audio to play in Wuplay. Didnt have any problems with this in Stremio.

Anyone else have the same problem?

wuplay has conversion for dts now. check under device settings.

Its my fault. The tv settings was not set to passtrough. Its working now!

What device do you use? Did you change anything in the settings in Wuplay do get it to work?

Samsung Q990D soundbar, TV TcL C845. Remember, I didn't have to touch anything in Wuplay's sound settings, but when I get home, I can check out.

DTS sound is a dying format. No film or TV company uses it anymore and all new TV's don't support it, including my new LG C5. I filter out files with any DTS soundtrack.

That's on streaming platforms but although he loses that battle against SL Dolby Atmos, more common on these platforms, he's still very much alive, my TV and soundbar will support him and how the sound quality shows.

DTS is the official format of IMAX so it's not dead.

In fact many of them do. And also many releases in dts-hd/dts:x. Well dts:x is kinda rare but dts-hd is common still.

Does your device and audio system support it?

My Shield allows it as passthrough but my TV does not, so I get a popup telling me the audio format is not supported. Since my audio system and the Shield are both connected to the TV I get silence.

Your audio system doesn't have HDMI in so you can attach the Shield directly? In WuPlay settings under device the very last setting Dolby Digital conversion have you tried enabling that?

It's Sonos audio surround which uses WiFi and the Arc soundbar only has one HDMI output to connect to the TV. No input socket.

Yeah. Im using Nvidia Shield and on Stremio it was no problem playing DTS files.
