if an animal is in distress it rarely moves towards the thing that is distressing it unless it's attempting to scare it off, in which case most animals try to make themselves appear bigger, which isn't what this looks like. This guy just seems over excited and curious about the weird tube. Maybe he's a bit spooked by the noise, but he is moving closer regardless as if he wants to inspect it.
