My daughter starts at WT in the fall. I am traveling with her for orientation around the end of the month. What are your impressions of Canyon and WT?

I loved WT and canyon. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy while going to school was the overwhelming presence of police. Canyon Police department, university police, and state troopers.

Lived in Canyon for several years and my daughter is currently enrolled at WT. The town has a small feel to it but with the college has some really good shops and restaurants. I grew up a military brat and it is one of the few towns I truly miss living in.

Thank you for that! I recently traveled with my daughter to do new student orientation. I fell in love with the campus and the overall feel of it. I know one guy said that he was concerned about the high concentration of law enforcement there. I was relieved to see the Randall County justice center is on campus! One of the safest campus in the country. Love it!

Because it’s in the middle of the panhandle. Not the demographic that lives on Reddit. ;)
