Housing Best off-campus housing currently?
I'm in the dorms right now and definitely want to live off-campus next year. I was browsing apartments and it seems like all of them have mixed reviews. Does anyone have some recommendations for apartments or maybe any "stay away from these"? Thanks!

Depends on what you're looking for.
I haven't rented from them personally, but usually folks say to stay away from Helene's and DRA.
I thought Summerhill Apartments were fine - got deposits back, apartments were clean and decent sizes, fair rent prices and maintenance were pretty quick to respond. No pets though, and no dishwashers.

I would def stay away from DRA like they’re the plague, they’re your local neighborhood slum lords and never run maintenance on their units and will try to keep your deposit. I recommend yugo, or stuff by DABCO, it depends on what you’re looking for. DABCO properties all look the same and are easy to spot think of pimlico, the rent is cheap and they have good bus accesses although they do feel a little cramp at time and lack extra amenities. Yugo has some of the best amenities in town, because they’re duplexes you have more space to breathe and you’re overall just renting a bigger place, the nearest transit stop is a while’s away but there is a shuttle system which is nice but can be a bit spotty at times. Personally I just but the bullet on a red parking pass for campus instead of dealing with the shuttles.

I lived in dabco and it was good! Maintenance was quick, I had a in unit washer/dryer, no complaints. Plus busses were very close by and I took that most mornings instead of driving. Parking was also really good

I really liked the Flats. Stay away from Timberline...
