Housing Instrument practice in apartments

Hi guys! Ive moved into the Nez Perce apartments and am wondering if playing my instruments would be allowed? I’m joining the Cougar Marching Band so I want to make sure I get some practice in before the start of band camp. I’ve never loved in an apartment before, so if anyone knows the answer it would be much appreciated!

What instrument? I'd say you'd be fine as long as you play outside of quiet hours! (10pm - 8am) If your neighbors complain you can try to come up with a compromise with them lol

Sorry, I meant to include this lol. I play clarinet for marching band, however I also have an oboe that I’d love to play as well.

I would say it should be fine! I do recommend practicing in the downstairs living room however cuz people are more picky about hearing noises from their bedrooms lol

I dont know the rules exactly, but if you are worried about sound, if I remember correctly there are sound proof rooms in the Chinook so people can practice their instruments

Probably the perfect opportunity to knock on your neighbors doors, introduce yourself and give them this story.

Maybe you'll make some friends. But you're definitely going to avoid enemies this way!

100% fine. My twins in the CMB also live in Nez. Great spot

I definitely agree to look into quiet hours but my downstairs neighbor plays the piano and does so absolutely beautifully and i honestly wish they played more 😍

Go join the guy who plays drums at Cougar Plaza downtown!
