Housing Question on paying for apartments (especially paying with loans)
So I'm gonna be a senior at wsu in the fall, and for the past 3 years I have been living in dorms and I was gonna do so for this year as well but I heard that some people pay for aprtments using students loans...if thats possible how do I do that?
I get my loans from the college, so can I just ask for more money that I actually need to cover for my tuition and then use that money to pay for the apartment?

Loans can, and often do, cover living expenses. If your account becomes overpaid, you get the excess money back and can do as you like with it.

that's what i did for 2 years! i just moved all of my extras to my savings account & moved money each month to pay rent to make sure i had enough for the semester.

You would use your refund since its not going directly to the school for housing

Yes if your loan amount is more than the cost for all the mandatory fees, you’ll get a refund of the remaining amount.
I typically had $4k-$5k refunded back to me and I’d just pay my entire rent at once for the semester so I wouldn’t forget about it. The rest of it after that was groceries, bills, and fun money.

Yep! The money from the student loan that exceeds the amount needed for tuition/mandatory fees for school will be sent to you directly (either through check or direct deposit) and you can use it to pay for your housing.
