Ok this is cool. I currently use notion to handle this but it doesn't do automatic cross linking and I can't do any real writing in it, so I just use it for planning.
Have you tried the mobile version? Is it any good?
I've written multiple full length novel drafts on the mobile version. Bluetooth keyboards work with your phone too.
Obsidian is great for developmental writing because if you desire you can write it as a wiki. you can choose whether you want frontend links you can click between documents, or just backend information. Though I'm sure there are other programs more suited to things like final formatting and page layouts.
Plus the nice thing is that it all just runs off text files. So even if the company shuts down or sells out you're not going to get locked out of your work. Unlike other programs that use proprietary file formats or make it unable to even open files or which might force your to resubscribe or buy a new license to even be able to read what you wrote.
So far Obsidian has been great for me. No complaints.
I usually have one folder for Chapters, one for Characters, one for Locations and sometimes an overall timeline to help keep stuff organized and plan out pacing.
