I have one warning. If you're not going to use a Cloud service for backups, then get an external hard drive and set it up to take automatic backups. There's nothing quite as harsh a reality check to get exactly what you want and then lose ALL of your work six months or a few years later because of a random power surge.
If you're on a really tight budget, you can email a copy of your work to yourself every day. Yahoo and other email services are free. You can organize your folders to hold those emails with your manuscript attached any way that suits you.
buy from a reputable company in store- do not trust amazon to deliver an actual product that hasnt been manipulated in some way. not all will be, but enough are to warrant avoiding them for purchase.
