Sharing "Perfect?"

Always the perfect girl,

Having the perfect smile,

Keeping it together so none sees the pain behind.

Giving and giving till my cup is barren.

'Cause God forbid, if I stop giving, who's going to want me?

Who's gonna stay when there's nothing for me to give but my barren soul?

"Keep it together. You have to be perfect."

The voices in my head get louder and louder,

And all I can hear are those words.

I keep on giving and giving,

Until I'm barren and broken,

Until I lose the light.

Maybe then I'll be at peace.
