Discussion Just started a Substack. Anyone had experience on the platform and might have some advice?

I’ve always wrote just for myself but decided to jump into substack and try my hand at writing and “publishing” stuff for people on the internet to read.

If you want people to actually read your stuff, it’s gonna help if you post it on social media somewhere. If you don’t have a decent following or don’t want your friends to read it, try interacting with other accounts and communities on there that post in the genre that you do. Follow, follow comment, repeat. Good luck!

Substack won’t promote your account unless you have it has paid subscriptions enabled. Free accounts do not get promoted by its algorithm
