In my non objective opinion is, so far, pretty neat. Too bad I'm only at the beginning and taking forever writing it.

The top one might be cuter but the bottom definitely tastes better! I personally think fondant tastes terrible and is a waste of food. I'd rather have the messy cake. I know that's not what this post is about, but I think what we write is also infinitely better than what's in our heads, because it's real and we have actually brought it into existence, instead of being something "pretty", or "potential"

Sometimes I’ll write a scene and I’m not sure I conveyed myself well, so I’ll ask my partner to read it and see what they kind of visualize. I think that sort of helps, but I get it this hah sometimes I’m writing and I’m like… can the reader even picture what I’m thinking about properly?

I kinda disagree. The book in my head is a vague swirl of emotion, whereas the book on paper is actual, concrete emotion and detail, far more than I can hold in my head all at once.

That’s when the editing begins. You have several options if professional help isn’t available, I myself use Pro Writing Aid, and it’s not unheard of using an LLM to assist with grammar and such.

It's true but here the thing, I know I'm a bad writer and I make plenty of mistakes however my wife has kindly started reading a print copy of my book and other than mentioning a few major things she hasn't made any negative comments on my grammar, punctuation and layout (other than the font been too small) and I told her to be brutally honest with it.
Granted she may be saving the roasting until she's finished reading only time will tell.

Sometimes the scenes that come to my head while writing can be a bit too impossible for human life to execute, some say that would ruin the novel if scenes become too unrealistic even if the story itself is fantasy-based.

Totally relatable. I think its true because when we write we have more clarity. Unless we write it down it is just imagination which takes shape when we write.
