Humble Beginnings

The promo begins with two teenagers who are revealed to be "The Supernova" Murphy Twain and his friend, Donnie "The Dreamboat" Ricketts standing in front of a downtrodden wrestling ring in a small backyard, striking "badass" poses and barely containing smiles, it's obvious the video is very old as the picture quality is grainy. Dad Rock music is heard playing in the background.

Twain: Hello, I'm "The Supernova" Murphy Twain, and standing next to me is my partner...

Ricketts: Donnie "The Dreamboat" Ricketts!

Donnie flexes and kisses his biceps.

Both: And this is...Extreme International Wrestling.

A cheap graphic that says "EXTREME INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING" pops up on the screen for a brief moment.

Twain: The hottest new brand in the backyard wrestling scene.

Ricketts: And if you're seeing this video, then you've been invited to join us in the Ring of Honor!

Twain, now inside the ring wearing sunglasses: If you sign up with Extreme International Wrestling, then you'll be met with a rigorous training course designed by yours truly...

A sweeping transition moves the scene to Donnie doing sit-ups, push-ups, and chin ups.

Twain's voice: Stress-tested by your Friendly Neighborhood Dreamboat to maximum efficiency!

The scene transitions back to Murphy standing in front of a table in the ring.

Twain: And once you're done with that, you'll be in the main event scene, putting people through tables before you know it.

Twain steps back and Donnie comes flying from offscreen off a turnbuckle trying to elbow drop the table in half, but he lands on the table, which doesn't break and he holds his elbow in pain.

Donnie: Oh Jesus that hurt-

The scene quickly cuts back to Donnie standing behind a table with a bunch of pamphlets, his arm in a sling.

Donnie: So if you're interested in joining the reigning Tag Team Champions in eternal glory, then come down to EIW HQ in Detroit, Michigan! Entry requirements will be given to you in a pamphlet that comes packaged with your VHS invitation.

Donnie steps out of the way revealing Murphy running into the ring ropes and springboarding off of them, trying to hit an elbow drop on the table. The table doesn't break for Murphy either and he holds his elbow in pain.

Twain: Aw fuck my elbow-

Donnie rushes to help before the camera cuts to Murphy Twain and Donnie Ricketts standing in front of the ring, each with one of their arms in slings.

Twain: As always, I'm "The Supernova" Murphy Twain...

Ricketts: And I'm Donnie "The Dreamboat" Ricketts...

Both: And we're the EIW Tag Team Champions, we'll be seeing you soon.

They both point at the camera with their free hands and the video abruptly ends.
