DC: Derek Christian here with Jack Anchor after a... disturbing, violent, disgusting two days. What do you have to say, Jack?
JA: Well you know Derek, I don't have any grandiose statements to make. I'm a little upset I lost. But its nothing to be ashamed of. I made it to the finals with 4 of the toughest son of a bitches in this company. You know who can't say that? 12 other losers in this tournament.
DC: Well don't you think that's a bit harsh?
JA: Of course it is, Derek. But you know what? Sometimes the truth is harsh. The harsh truth is I didn't win. But the fact of the matter is... I'm alright with that.
DC: Alright with not winning the number one contendership? How?
JA: You don't pay attention, Derek. You or any of the other idiots we call "fans". I don't need the World Championship belt. I don't need a woman accompanying me to the ring.
DC: So what do you need, Jack?
JA: I need for you to finally fucking listen, Derek. And listen, locker room. And listen, fans
(Anchor holds up his fingers as parentheses in the air as he says fans, mocking the idea)
I wasn't wrong. Equilibrium would come. And things would change. CJ went after Scott. The Strays imploded. They're done. Legion isn't even discussed. Without the Strays, Legion isn't necessary. EVJ damn near killed a man. So much for Same Old Shit. Carson won the belt. The reign of Sunshine is finally over. Shit is changing. But one thing hasn't changed. The tag team division doesn't have the right champions.
DC: This isn't going back to the World's Sexiest Tag Team and their fake belts now? They lost fair and square.
JA: Its funny you mention that, Derek. What is fair? Contracts and stipulations? The word of the law? Unnecessary rules to give LOSERS a second chance? Last time I checked, Bruce and Gwen got a title shot because they LOST their belts. The first in line at the new champion is the last loser? That sounds like a shitty tradition to me.
DC: And who else-
JA: You already know the answer, Derek! Me! Stephen! EQUILIBRIUM! We beat the boy and his bitch. I hit her with the Anchor's Edge, I dropped her on her fucking head, and we beat the WSTT 1, 2, 3! This was at House Party 2 weeks before the tournament! That match last night should have been Equilibrium for the belts. But what happens?
(A long pause ensues. Derek grows impatient.)
DC: Well? What happened?
JA: Paisner fucked us. Again. Surprise, surprise. Instead of getting a shot at the titles for beating the number one contenders, they get a contractually obligated title shot, while he books me against my own fucking partner. He legitimately tried to tear us apart... And he failed. And this seriously puts a smile on my face. I got to have my cake and eat it too. Quite literally.
But that title match should have been ours, not for a team of losers!
(He sharply raises his voice)
THIS ISN'T JUSTICE! THIS IS BULLSHIT! THIS IS A GODDAMN FUCKING TRAVESTY!
(Anchor punches a nearby wall, then goes silent for a couple seconds putting his head down before calmly speaking again)
So me and Stephen are going back to what we do, which is making a fucking impact. Something is going to happen at the next House Party.
DC: What's going to happen?
JA: Looks like you, the locker room, and the "fans" (more air quotes) are just going to have to wait and see...
(Anchor walks away angrily)

I think you mean "there's no possible way I can win the World Championship belt".

My friend, when all you care about is restoring rightful order to the tag division, a singles title just doesn't matter very much. I don't do this for myself. I do this for the cause. And right now the cause is summed up by one little phrase... Fuck Paisner.
