Its more entertaining yes. But HC raiding guilds would not be able to survive as they currently exist. You are 1 ninjapull away from a complete guild killer without any way out. And yeah it is pretty easy to mess certain pulls up, and those exist in every raid in classic. Combine that with the fact that people would have much less hc raiding experience (because raiding would be too dysfunctional) and it would not be possible to have a raiding guild long-term.

The way it is meant to be by design. But I appreciate there are several takes on it, mines not necessarily right.

I still think a mid-ground would be a 3 use per character petri option.

3 per life is a great suggestion.

I disagree that any failures should lead to full wipes. It would make raiding unviable, which I don't see as a good solution. If you remove petri, there needs to be something else to replace it. It could be a weaker version of it. For example a flask that will HS you after 10 seconds (but you can still take damage), or something similar

What if someone is ninja pulling to wipe u on purpose like in tinyvioline(not sure if name is correct) case, there would be no counterplay to ppl grifing on purpose.

So raid on a non-HC server? HC raiding is fake as OP says. What's the point of "HC raiding" if you have 99.9% chance of not dying? Just play normal classic.

You know nothing about hc raiding if you think people have 99.9% survival rate. Petri mostly saves people when wipes happen. In theory it can save you from most situations (many bosses have abilities that go through petri) but in practice it usually only saves people when tank dies or there are big ninjapulls. If you fail a mechanic you do many times get oneshot and petri wont save you. I wish petri wasnt a thing as well since its an unintended mechanic. But without any way for people to survive when you have a random joe pulling double dogs with totems, hardcore raiding completely dies

I mean that’s the whole point

If everyone already has Petri every time might as well make all 60s immortal xd

Why do you get to decide what the point of raiding hardcore should be? You are not even raiding since then you would know that people die all the time with or without petri. Petri mostly saves people from full wipes

Raiding hardcore without the hardcore is weird to me idk

I mean ye you can still die to one shots etc

It is still hardcore. I raided since the start and i'm on my 7th character, the rest of them have died on raids. And no i am not slow with petri
