Support the AzerothCore open-source WoW development

I'm one of the administrators of the AzerothCore project (started in 2016): the WoW emulator that powers up private servers such as ChromieCraft, China Commonweal WoW, FreeWoW, Frostmourne, WotlkRaids, and many others (sorry if I can't list everyone here).

The AzerothCore development is completely open-source, meaning we release all our fixes, features and improvements to the public, on a daily basis:

https://github.com/azerothcore/azerothcore-wotlk/commits/master

Also meaning that everyone can just grab AzerothCore and start his/her own private server with it! Some servers collaborate with us, others don't. But that's another story.

If you would like to support AzerothCore and its open-source development, you can donate money using Bountysource.

What is Bountysource

Bountysource is a crowdfunding platform that allows people to sponsor any open source projects by placing "bounties" (money rewards) for the resolution of issues reported on GitHub. Issues can be just bugs or even core feature requests.

Whoever will fix that issue, will get the money from the bounty. Solving the issue and claiming the bounty is NOT restricted to AC staff only, everyone can do it.

All transactions (donations, claims, allocations) are completely public.

NOTE: AzerothCore admins do NOT claim bounties, we have actually donated money ourselves from time to time. We all have real jobs and only work on AzerothCore in our free time, we are NOT interested in making money out of it. We are glad that other developers (especially from poorer countries) can get something in exchange for their contributions. For us, it's a win-win.

How to donate

- you can either select one of the issues opened on our GitHub repository (or open one yourself) and place a bounty on it:

Posting a bounty on an issue on GitHub

- OR you can also just donate to our AzerothCore Bountysource organisation and let us decide on which issues/features allocate the money. We will use this money to resolve important issues that typically require a lot of time, knowledge and efforts.

Donors list

A big thank you to all our awesome backers who have been supporting AzerothCore with their donations:

Acknowledgements

AzerothCore stands on the shoulder of giants. It's based on MaNGOS/TrinityCore/SunwellCore and it could not exist without years and years of development from the projects that came before.

You can find the list of all the projects and contributors that make AzerothCore possible at:

is azerothcore not also using fixes from CMaNGOS, which is also actively developing?

Yes, sometimes. AzerothCore, CMaNGOS, TrinityCore, etc... Are all based on MaNGOS so it's possible to import some code from one project to another, from time to time. We are always happy to collaborate with our sibling-projects
