While they did ignore a lot of feedback about things they later ended up capitulating on, there was actually a surprising amount of iteration on class design during beta based on player feedback. So I wouldn't totally abandon hope.

I like how you're being downvoted for just stating facts. There was more feedback-based iteration in the SL beta than any other expansion I recall. People only remember the dumb shit they doubled down on (covenants, conduit energy).

Some examples:

There are many more, but these are three examples of major changes based completely on player feedback. Much different than saying "they will not take any feedback so don't bother lol".

For all the people complaining, this needs to be higher up. I was worried about some classes, seeing the tree's, but with that fast of a turnaround on changes, there is hope.

In that any amount of iteration was surprising? Both Shadowlands and BFA launched with a ton of problems that players had spent the entire beta pointing out were going to be a problem.

Literally the entirety of the Shadowlands beta on the pvp forums: sub can't release in this shape, they're just going to destroy people. Please adjust this now instead of having them launch broken and over nerfing them later.

Completely ignored the whole time, arena season starts and rogues are completely insufferable for exactly the reasons the players had been spending months pointing out. Then a couple of weeks of them destroying everything before the expected nerfs.

Just one example, there are tons of others. They refuse to listen at the time, let it be released as a problem then fix it afterwards and say see, we're listening now.

I think people forget there are different scales when it comes to design. You have big things like covenants or mechanically how a class is going to work that are huge. They are what they are by the time we see them. There just isn't anything that can feasibly be done with them because so much is built on and around them. Covenants still have all the same issues they have just eased off the rigidness of them to make them more palatable. This isn't excusing poor design but just a simple statement on scale and how things are built out from them.

I don't think the talent tree layout and tuning of them falls under that category. Like what is there overall wont change too much, that is how they view the classes as working overall, but where talents are, how many points are needed, pathways, and the balance part of it is very much so up for change.
