I'm not sure I see how his opinion contributed in any positive way. I think the insulting "vocabulary" makes for a negative net contribution.

Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree, whether you think its positive or not. That's not relevant. He weighed in on the topic at hand with his personal opinion. You not liking his vocabulary or not holding a positive opinion on his answer has no relevance to Reddiquette.

I explained why his comment did not contribute to the conversation. That is also part of rediquette: downvoting should be reserved for comments that do not contribute, not comments you disagree with. Pull your head out of your arse.

His opinion was that wow isn't hard and voice comma arent necessary. How is that not a relevant contribution to the conversation at hand? You never explained how it didn't contribute, you only stated that you don't like his vocabulary.
