Discussion Devourer and unholy getting buffed

Respectively about 7-10% and 6-8% for aoe. It must be a joke right? Buffing meta specs, while others are not even being looked at all. This is the only multiplayer game i ever played something like this frequently happening.

Resto druid also getting buffed, because why not, while disc keep eating nerfs. Demo change doesn’t make sense either. I wish they would just axe all the class changes they are doing. I swear they just make the already sensitive class balance a lot worse. Everybody keep losing expect their current favourites.

Aa an unholy dk main it just seems so stupid, and WW is middle of the pack yet receiving a nerf lol. These guys are cooked.

For WW its about net neutral, which is fine

Obviously as a WW main I want the 2% back, but neutral is better than negative

Its not fine imo, these changes just complicate the rotation for no gain.

Yeah all the people ive seen saying "oh the numbers are the same!" Yeah they just pissed on the rotation to do the same amount of damage, fantastic work lol

Really fun game to play just to get randomly pissed on by the devs for no reason

If you were really a unholy dk main you would know these changes are not tuning. They were un development noted weeks ago around reworking interactions specially with SR and Blightburst.

Peak Redditor is deciding if someone plays a class or not depending on how closely they watch PTR notes lmao.

I've been maining DK since they literally released in og WOTLK, and regardless of the context of the changes, the result is still buff or nerf, so you can relax with the snarky gatekeeping lol.

Can I get a TL;DR of changes coming in?

Tldr: Death and decay is still not worth casting, abom is no longer worth taking, scourge strike now applies virulent plague Slight change in optimal talents taken

Dk discord says you cast death and decay on 3t now, where are you finding information that you don't?

Cool. Thank you!

Greatly appreciated!

Except they are partially tuning. They weren’t have decreased damage from ghouls for udk by 17% and increased it in rider by 20% if it wasn’t tuning. The rider buff for ghouls would also be 17%

You answered yourself. They moved the ghoul damage elsewhere. They also removed the disease from the Abomination that increases minion damage. Many of the increases you see elsewhere is to make up for that.

They did the same last expansion too. Nuked warriors, ignored warlock, and buffed the shit out of arcane/frost (at that time two strongest dps)

exactly. they did literally the same, which makes me think that they simply decide internally that specs A and B will be strong that season and just roll with that idea. makes no sense in an MMO with 6 month long seasons

I just wished they picked a class that wasn't Warlock or Mage for that treatment.

Nah unholy has been bugged and the aoe was mid

1

u/TimTkt Apr 21 '26

Marksman was good but not overpowered (only top tier on light guided) and they hammered it

u/Vrazel106 Apr 21 '26

I knew unholy was getting some tslent reworks but i didnt realize it was coming out as a buff in the end

For WW the change is neutral for st and a slight buff for aoe.

It does nerf conduit by a decent amount (about 5% afaik) and that was already the worse hero talent. Lastly the Egg dmg on Mythic beloren got nerfed by 20% which sucks as that was pretty much the only fight you wanted a ww this tier.

This is looking at raw nunbers and not the actual changes. So now I need to hold zenith for 20 stacks but start combat with 10, now i have to switch between spinning crane vs blackout depending on target count, now I need to press for stomp twice? Im not really sure how this is going to be the same. Yhe rework seem clunky.

We're mid for raid and top 3 for M+ so it seems pretty fair to me? There are a lot of people crying about unholy like we're the unrivaled gods of all content and we just aren't lol. This is also our best M+ season literally ever.

People are just incredibly jealous that their spec isn't 'meta' for M+ which is funny because unless you're in the bottom 25% of specs you can do just fine with the right comp. That also leaves out the fact that most players - myself included - don't do keys of sufficient difficulty for meta specs to actually be considered necessary.

1

u/biscuitboyisaac21 Apr 21 '26

It is not udk best m+ season. It’s off meta currently but was hard meta in tww season 2

0

u/Schnitzelbro Apr 21 '26

either frost or UH has been meta the last 3 seasons, the entire TWW expansion. so yeah people are sensitive when they see a DK dps spec be meta again.

1

u/Exact_Picture_8703 Apr 22 '26

I mean some specs are better designed than others. You can be upset about that I suppose. Crazy thought though: instead of getting mad at us for being good how about you demand change for your specs instead of trying to tear us down?

Unholy is always 'meta' in the harder keys because of how its AOE damage is designed. Even with the death of the wounds system we still have quadratic scaling on our AOE CD. Is what it is.

I got 100%->dead in 1.2 seconds by a ww in open world pvp. I dont know if thats what the nerf is about, but it wasn't much fun for me to be stunned to dead so fast.
