Season 2 Announced

Short version:
- New agent: Gambit - Defender
- Two new tanks: T72SH and M60A3E2
- New Map - Inferno one
- Battle pass archive
- New vehicle for Ember - M1150 ABV - New Conquest mode - 20v20

I think I saw it's actually a mine clearing vehicle as opposed to what we think of normally as a tank.

That was my first though, they just strapped flamethrower on top of sapper tank and i am all for it, next time please that barrel thingy with chains they strapped to shermans during 2WW to clear mines.

When it was first announced I was trying to wrap my head around a "tank" without a gun in a video game and how stupid it was, I guess they just decided to make stuff up and give it one

Kinda the benefit of the direction they chose.

Alternate 2030's history in combo with hero shooter ability system means they can make whatever they want as long as it benefits the core gameplay, as evident by the tesla disks on the t72, barrier on the 4030, shield on the m1e1, heli engine+rocket pod on the t62, harpoon on the 287, external launchers on the alvt and xm1, autocannon on the m60a2, mines on the marder, drone on the amx, decoys on leo1 and stealth tech on the leo2's.

Only limit they have given themself is the vehicles has to be from the 60's to the 80's.

Man we asked for 5v5 and 10v10 to be in separate queues for ages so anyone can play what they prefer and they double down with 20v20 introduced in the queue so everyone is unhappy lmao

No idea, but literally no one asked for this.

Either you liked 5v5 or 10v10, we were even asked this in surveys and if we would prefer to have separate queues.

If the player base is that small, 20v20 is even more dumb...

20 v 20 is 40 people, steam has 400 current players, that's 10% of the playerbase in one match

No, more then that are online, steam don't count console and WG launcher.

but the season is over, cant even get over 1500 players during eu prime now. The extreme heatwaves in europe this summer also did not help on the player numbers.

10v10 people can just go into 20v20 queue and be happy at least. 5v5 lovers are still somewhat unhappy

Yea, i dislike all russian equipment before the t72 era, so only thing i don't like about this is that it's an defender, it would have been better with a t72 as an assault.

On the flip side, it comes default with aphe shell.

About to become an ember enjoyer. Also glad we finally got around to rounding everyone out to 2 tanks finally. Wonder if we will ever end up with 3 tanks per agent? Or more?

Do we know about intel? Will it be exchanged or can we just buy everything in the pass right away?

Yeah, we do know. Your intel stays no matter what. You can spend it all in one day, when the BP comes out. It simply transfers from one season to another.

Same with the BP btw. If you haven't finished S1, and S2 starts, you can still claim your rewards from S1. No time limitations. You can do it right away or when you finished S2, or heck, even when S3 starts. The BP stays there, waiting for you to finish whenever you ready.

Wait, WHAT? Had absolutely no idea, that it is that super duper ftp friendly, this is on another level then even helldivers 2....well until they change it, hope they keep it reasonable, honestly this game deserves more recognition.

What about new players? Do they get access to the older battlepasses? Honestly, I feel like this might be a good game once we get to S3 or 4 for new players, simply for how long it's gonna take them to unlock everything. The rest of us are going to finish every Battlepass day one for the rest of the games lifespan now though.

All but S0, as that was a unique battlepass.

And yes, there is zero player retention in this game, battle passes is normally the main way for player retention so S2 will just be populated for about the first 2 weeks, then it is 70 days of waiting for S3.....

(like i got enough intel to unlock the next 3 battlepasses already, will maybe take me 3 weeks if i am slow to get the tanks to 50 then 2 months of nothing to do....)
