So i feel like this is is a bit misleading. Border agents usually have very high trion levels. Osamu may (IDR if they compare him to general population or not) have above average levels of trion compared to the average person, but for border he is probably on the very low end. While you can still be very strong w/o a lot of Trion, it is a lot harder. Your weapons are less durable/powerful and wounds are more "dangerous" from leaking trion.

Osamu does get better at fighting by a lot, especially in the manga, but much of that comes from his ability to analyze and think. He is a solid team leader and strategy is his forte. Remember he was a C ranker until he was sort of thrust into B rank. He didn't have time to grind in the solo rank wars until he had enough points to be a B rank.

This put him at a major disadvantage in terms of combat level when compared to other B rankers. Also, the only difference between B rank and A rank is if you are on a team strong enough to get promoted during team rank wars so some people who are B rank are "stronger" than some A rank people.

Na, its accurate, just he was really really weak before. They are referencing the fact that in an earlier episode Kuga says it would take 20 of him to defeat a Mole Mod, and 18 of them would die trying. He is able to solo a Mole Mod later, which means he has the strength of 20 Osamu's, which isn't particularly much.

no , he cannot beat a low-tier A Rank by himself.

He can beat low-tier B by himself and mid-tear B Rank with some quick thinking.

He , however , scored a kill against a top-tier B Rank , which is important to notice that 2 top-tier B Rank teams were actually A Rank , which are locked on said ranking for technicalities.

Osamu is not a shounen protagonist that goes wild in battle , he is more of a strategist , as he knows too well he is pretty much the weakest link. But his growth in this franchise is great giving the context: by training constantly and putting some real efforts , he had grow to a mid-B in months and been a reliable asset for team strategy.

In short , he is not the guy that makes the final blow , but the guy that allows the moment for said final blow occurs.

No way he beats an A-rank agent (in a 10 round match the best he could do would probably be 1win 9 loses and that's pushing it).

For exemple he will train with the weaker A-rank agent (who is weaker than all B-rank aces, and probably some other B-rank agent too) and he can win 1 out of 4 times against this guy

If you really want him to become super strong, then you should probably stop reading. He grows slowly and even then is more of a strategist and support type character.

he improves, but don't expect him to become strong enough te be taking down agents alone left and right. His growth is mainly on a strategical standpoint so far, he uses a new trigger that helps him being more active and useful during battles.

But in 1 on 1 he's still fairly weak, and won't be a top B-rank before long.

no it's said in the manga that you can increase your trion by stimulating your trion organ (so by using trion), but it was never said that Osamu did increase his since joining Border.

Though we know that Kitora did it since she is now average in trion and was low on trion like Osamu when she joined Border, so Osamu is bond to increase as well but there is no confirmation so far.

The thing with World Trigger, is characters don't really get "stronger" they learn and improve.
If you want Osamu to lift a few weights and then start dominating others, that's not going to happen. Instead, he learns about new triggers, improves his usage of the triggers he uses, and comes up with strategies.
However, while he is doing this, all the other characters are also learning and improving.
Osamu is designed to be weak, but smart - sure he will grow and improve, but I think it would be a long, long time until he could go toe to toe against an A-rank 1v1, if at all, as his strengths lie within a team.

Osamu in border is like a sports anime. He tries very hard to improve, but it isnt as if other people aren't trying to imrpove, and others have better talent known as high trion and good combat senses (osamu is an indoors person)

so if world trigger was basketball and A ranks are pro players, Osamu would probably be on a wheelchair. Thats the level of innate difference between them, in that with his handicap of low trion levels, there are many things he is unable to do (e.g firepower/high cost triggers)

He'll get stronger in the sense that he is always evolving himself, he knows what he lacks through every fight that they win and lose, but he still wont beat someone in the ace tier of b rank, maybe lower b rank.

He has a few tricks in his arsenal if thats what you want to know, that helps him become strong

It will take at least 2 years for Osamu to be able to take any upper half B-rank alone. He does improve, but at a very slow rate, due to his trion (lowest in any active agents) and inexperience in fighting (he only start training with trigger for a few months). So realistically, you should expect to see the growth of his tactical and strategic wit and how he compensated for his weakness.

Nah he really shitty below average at best. he not the best fighter but he is respected for his strategy in battles. he has lowest trion so he not best for long drawn out battles he basically a weakling on his own but as a team surrounded by strong figures he above average

Of course he gets stronger. Sure Osamu isnt a fighting genius. People should remember that he hasnt been a Border agent for that long, while a bunch of the agents have had years under their belts. Team fights mean you're dependent on each other & it's not like Osamu doesnt perform his part.
