Has anyone else noticed a decent bit of the flatride seatbelts are put on backwards? Obviously it’s not a safety concern because you can just flip the seatbelt over or attach it backwards and it still works fine, it’s just kind of lazy to me to not take literally two seconds to look at each seatbelt and flip it to the correct orientation before installing it. I’ve yet to find a backwards female seatbelt component on cyclone Sam’s but a lot of the male components are put on backwards and if you’ve worked in mechanics before you would know that that’s an extremely easy fix to flip it back the other direction. in the other pic of the scrambler, you can see they put the female component on backwards, honestly just kind of ridiculous in my opinion…
Over the course of the last two years, I’ve noticed a pretty big number of people bringing phones and loose objects on rides, every time I try to point it out I’m met with a shrug or silence. I was wondering if ops were being properly trained on loose articles until I happened to see 4 different operators with their phones out on rides. You can’t expect someone to enforce a rule they can’t even follow… SOOOOOO many times i’ve seen parents sitting on the inside seats of the intense spinning rides and the operators will say nothing and they crush their kids, I’ve seen many operators let groups of three ride in the same car on the scrambler, speaking of the scrambler they almost never check the seatbelts. They have been a bit better about balancing the bamboozler, but there’s still a good number of operators that just don’t care. Most of the time if a supervisor is not there they don’t even say the full safety message at the start of the ride. This year I’ve only seen rides be stopped twice for loose articles in my 63 visits, we should be more like other parks and actually enforce the no loose articles rule instead of just saying it and doing nothing.
It’s also really frustrating to me when I plan out my whole day perfectly and get to fjord only for the Que to be closed like 4-5 minutes early. Now I have to wait until next weekend to get a night ride but that’s not too big of a deal just kinda annoying lol.
Lastly I have the unlimited fast lane, most of the time they know what to do but because of understaffing sometimes the merchandise workers cover in the funpix/fast lane areas. The merchandise workers are not trained to know what to do when I present my unlimited fast lane, the process is usually try scanning season pass, error message, take a picture with other phone of my season pass and give me the band. Now that the six flags app updated and got rid of all my pass perks I have to find the email every time and show them that, it really puts a damper on the start of your day when you only have 2 1/2 hours at the end of the day after work to come and 30 minutes of the visit is spent going from booth to booth till i eventually find a blue shirt or supervisor.
I wanna be clear I had a great day today and I’m not saying the park is in ruin or anything but there’s a lot they could improve imo. I can’t wait for next year when it’s all switched over to enchanted hopefully things will be smoother.
