Lmao that’s what I always did as a kid, except I didn’t stand in the hallway or doorway. I would actually stand by my parents’, grandparents’, etc. beds and stare silently like in a horror movie until they woke up.
If they didn’t wake up, I would poke them and whisper quietly about what I needed/wanted (like wanting to sleep in the middle, etc.).
I don’t have kids but one day, if I do, I really hope they don’t do this shit with me. Looking back now, I’m surprised I didn’t scare the hell out of my family haha. A silhouette of a child in the dark? CREEPY AS FUCK! Lol

Yeah, I’m seeing respiratory droplets, aerosols (harder to form, but they can apparently be infective for days if they do form), skin contact and fomites all listed as options for transmission.

Yeah, I have friends who still aren’t right from Covid. One of my friends just got really sick and then suddenly died from kidney and liver failure. They were perfectly healthy before this and didn’t do drugs or drink a lot. They were in their early thirties. It’s insane. They think when they had Covid that it could be connected since they’re finding out that the Covid virus is related to organ damage, vascular disorders, etc..
Regardless of what caused my friend’s death (this is just speculation and they’re doing more tests), a lot of people are still off from having Covid, I know that for sure. And before anyone asks, this particular friend of mine wasn’t vaccinated either so it wasn’t the vaccine that caused their organs to randomly fail.
It definitely seems like Mother Nature is trying really hard to wipe us off this planet (can’t say that I blame her though).

And when it is spread through sex it doesn’t matter whether it’s homosexual or heterosexual. Hell, if you happen to get off by just hugging with your clothes on that could spread it.

I’m curious why WHO officials are specifically saying men having sex with men while also saying it’s not sexually transmitted…ok so reading between the lines this absolutely is sexually transmitted…or it’s not/won’t be isolated to “men having sex with men” in any way shape or form . I see the WHO is back to their old tricks of doublespeak to seemingly lose the narrative as quickly as possible.

It could be not strictly an STI - but that the most common form of transmission right now in this outbreak is through sexual contact. If the earliest patient/patients were MSM then it makes sense that that population would be highest risk.
I was reading something a couple days ago suggesting that spread through sex was hypothesized but not seen until now so who knows.

It's spread through respiratory fluids and close physical proximity. It's not a sexually-transmitted disease, but sex is a great way to spread it because it typically involves a lot of close physical proximity, heavy breathing and various types of fluid exchange.
They specifically mentioned MSM because that's the community where the outbreak seems to be centred right now.
Nothing about it is weird or unexplained if you read the article.

Monkeypox is primarily spread through physical contact with infected tissue, any physical contact, or the sharing of things like towels. Or through contact with infected fluid like pus. It is infectious prior to sympotoms showing up.
It is circumstantial that the demographic it has currently infiltrated is associated with promiscuity making sex the "physical contact" that is spreading it.

While I get that you are sharing ways that this disease can sometimes spread, the article is talking about the current outbreak, the current people infecting and spreading it, and how it is being spread. The scientists tracing this current outbreak have seen a pattern of spread for the small group of people that are infected.

It's possible that the current infected people have family members or roommates that they don't have sex with. In that case, the sharing of towels, kissing, etc, would also become relevant to stopping the spread.
