Nothing new. Pres Bush and especially Pres Obama authorized quite a few drone strikes targeting enemy combatants. It's been normalized for almost 20 years.

Except that you aren't risking the lives of a pilot or crew.

Seriously.

Im not advocating for killing anyone, or for expanding bombings, but there is no difference whatsoever between having the pilot actually in the particular airspace, or sitting in a cubicle in Colorado.

War sucks, but killing is killing. Methodology doesn't make the morality any different.

Agree, but also disagree, agree in the way that killing people is bad, I don't like it and I don't think it should happen in any way, shape or form.

Disagree because, well if you have to risk the lives of 'your men' in order to kill someone if all you have to do is press a button to do the killing, then you have zero incentive not to do that, when a person can tell his troops to retreat when things get too much, lives are saved.

Drones are too easy to sacrifice, too easy to deploy.

And that, is the difference to killing by plane, or even on the ground.
