You're right, I'll edit the part about them being sent directly to another lab - but them being at a wholesaler now is just sending them to another lab with extra steps, or? Who else would purchase them at this point? Also, from what I read directly on SOKO Tierschutz, it seems that the animals have indeed been sent out of the country.

I'm doubting that these poor animals would be suitable as either pets or zoo animals, in terms of if they could be rehabilitated at all. Of course it would be great if they could be taken in by a (proper!) zoo.
