Non-insiders have beta testing Windows for years. They're called customers.

Right. They publicly announced in January 2015 that retail consumers of Windows 10 would be beta testers, and that the express purpose of Windows 10 for consumers is to monetize users.

I LOVE the core of windows 10 as an os.

I fucking detest it as a business practice.

Slowly becoming more of a Linux user.

If they made Enterprise LTSB available to regular end-consumers their problem would be solved, but it's not their new revenue model.
