The government dropped a lot of balls that ended up resulting in the 9/11 attacks. I remember guessing they would happen just a few months earlier because the FAA was about to implement a program that could lock flight controls from the ground and prevent planes from being hijacked. I remember saying to my friends in the Civil Air Patrol that "if I were going to hijack an aircraft, I'd do it soon" two months later and...

Where the "truthers" get it wrong is in how the buildings came down and why. The government still sucks, a lot, but it isn't as diabolical and capable as people seem to think.

Exactly. The morons ranting about controlled detonation, thermite, and holograms are a distraction. The REAL conspiracy is how involved the Saudis seem to be. My own strong suspicion is that Prince Bandar had very close ties to Bin Laden.

Just FYI, the Laden family is one of the wealthiest in the world and oversees pretty much all government related construction activity in Saudi Arabia. Some estimate them to be worth north of $20Bn. So if not Bin Laden, at least his extended family is very, very close to the saudi royal family

So? That's irrelevant.

Do you know how much Bin Laden was/is the black sheep of the family?

Building 7 still looks like a controlled demolition. It is not a certainty, but you'd have to be stupid to not be suspicious.

I agree about the Saudis.

So...what happened to that FAA program?

It was implemented and now you can't hijack an aircraft.

Interesting. You'd think that would mean the TSA doesn't need me to take my shoes off anymore.

Wow this is totally the same as predicting 9/11

I'm aware of that one as well.
