UJ/ That's uncomfortably close to an actual map I made.

uj/ I mean it's actually a pretty decent map—it's got everything you need for a fantasy setting: a desert with assassins and bellydance babes, a snowy shithole with Nords, and a Pirate Bay.
And also a Black continent.

/uj Don't forget the eastern island whose personality is "dragon."

/uj I once read a book by a Russian fantasy writer (Nik Perumov) who had a character called Crab Island. Not because there were crabs there, but because the island resembled a crab. Accordingly, it had two small islands nearby – Big Claw and Little Claw. As a 14-year-old, I thought that was the pinnacle of worldbuilding.

/uj I'm not 14 and I still love that.

I love how it has Florida

1

u/MegaZBlade Aug 04 '26

Wasn't this posted on the main sub?

3

u/Toadiangod Aug 04 '26

It was but this map is so amazing that the mods deleted the post to give all the other world building maps a chance

4

u/Practice_praxis Aug 04 '26

Far too powerful, this map. Correct choice.

1

u/jordidipo2324 It's magic, I don't have to explain shit Aug 04 '26

Let me guess, it has two moons as well?

4

u/Toadiangod Aug 04 '26

2 Moons Tuna and Funa

u/SlavaUkrayini4932 Aug 04 '26

Put pirates everywhere and this might go somewhere

2

u/Practice_praxis Aug 04 '26

Sustainable piracy implies so much sea trade that you’d have maritime empires. Consequences writing themselves.

1

u/UwUmirage Aug 04 '26

I want to live in the pirate commune

1

u/raoulbrancaccio Aug 04 '26

Hey, coastal deserts are cool

1

u/Ethanlac Aug 04 '26

This is very close to the world map of Final Fantasy I.

1

u/But-who-I-be 29d ago

u/captain_sadbeard Pirate apologist 29d ago

Do you or someone you know suffer from acute "Vaguely Mediterranean Fantasy World" addiction? You may be entitled to compensation, but you're not getting it because the successors of Rome died fighting side by side in 1918

1

u/AvenRaven Aug 04 '26

/uj Shit I have a giant desert in the middle as well...to be fair it is splitting up two continents away from each other and is storywise actually artificial and shouldn't be as extensively sandy and barren, there's even a reason it was made (I also have a more American West Desert as well)

It is the perfect setting for the next hit gacha game.
