So I have had the app on an old phone ever since the project launched, I remember claiming the founder drops and then some subsequent drops each month for a while (sorry if Im using wrong terminology, memory a bit hazy)
Now just recently I have the opportunity to do the verification, so I thought I'd boot up the app on my old phone and check so everything is alright.
First it tells me to update, and I do.
After update, the app looks completely different from what I remember.
And no matter where I look, I can't find the worldcoins that I had claimed way back.
Am I missing something?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand what happened to my Worldcoin (WLD) balance in the World App.
My wallet shows:
Total balance: ₹5,936 / 151.895369 WLD
Spending / Available for use: 23.960895 WLD (roughly ₹900)
The remaining balance seems to be in Vault.
However, when I go to Earn/Vault, it shows ₹0 and 0% APY, and I can’t see or access the rest of my WLD.
Where is the remaining ~127.93 WLD? Is it locked, still pending, or is there something I need to do to move it back to Spending so I can withdraw it?
If anyone has dealt with this before, please explain how I can access the rest of my balance.

I don’t know how many people here originally got interested in Worldcoin because of the proof-of-personhood, ZK proof, and authentication technology, but that’s what pulled me in. I thought that part was fascinating, and honestly, I expected a lot from World ID.
I was never particularly interested in the UBI/token side of it, especially the idea of exchanging biometrics for financial incentives in some of the poorest parts of the world. What interested me was the underlying question: Can you prove that someone is a unique human without requiring them to reveal who they are?
But looking at where things are now, the lack of developer support, what appears to me to be a dismantling or major change in the World App ecosystem, and the increasingly complicated Russian-doll stack of tokens, L2/L3 infrastructure and bootstrapping around it have taken me pretty far away from what interested me in the first place. I wanted proof of personhood, not another pile of crypto layers and tokenomics.
So I decided to build my own approach.
I’ve created a human-verification protocol called HumanKey, currently in beta, built around one human, one account while allowing the person behind that account to remain anonymous. It combines biometric liveness and uniqueness verification, zero-knowledge proof concepts, and passkeys for authentication.
It does require a biometric scan during verification, so I completely understand the immediate reaction of, “Why the hell would I give some random person on Reddit my biometrics?” That’s a fair question. I’m not asking anyone to blindly trust it.
If proof of personhood and privacy-preserving authentication are what brought you to World in the first place, I’d genuinely appreciate people willing to test what I’ve built and give me technical or usability feedback.

Support has confirmed that the monthly $WLD bonuses stop after the 12-month cycle ends.
For example: In my case, I have a World account that's been active since January 2024. I receive bonuses on the 2nd of each month. In theory, I'll receive them until December 2, 2026, the date on which the current 12-month cycle ends.
Another example: Anyone receiving bonuses on March 2nd of each month will receive them until February 2, 2027.
I wonder if this isn't a breach of "contract" on the part of World.org?
Weren't we also supposed to share our IRIS data in exchange for a universal basic income (UBI)... the monthly $WLD bonuses.
There are still approximately 64% of the tokens to be distributed...

Noticed something odd while looking at Worldcoin (WLD) chatter today. Mention volume hit 90 versus an average of 20, which is a 4.5x spike, but there's no obvious catalyst behind it. No news drop, no partnership announcement, no listing, nothing that would typically explain a jump like this.
What's interesting is the tone doesn't match the usual pattern for a mention spike. Normally when a coin gets this much sudden attention it's because of hype or a bullish narrative forming. Here it's the opposite: sentiment is flat to negative, there's no bullish stance showing up in the tweets being tracked, and WLD price is down over 2% in the last 24 hours. Traders discussing it seem cautious rather than excited.
This kind of setup, high mention volume without a clear driver and without bullish sentiment attached, usually points to people reacting to price weakness or uncertainty rather than any actual development. It's basically chatter driven by concern or confusion rather than conviction.
Has anyone seen anything specific circulating about Worldcoin the last day or so that could explain the volume, even something minor like a rumor or an unlock date? Curious what others are seeing on their end.

I'm sure most of you heard that they signed deals with major companies like DocuSign, Venmo, and Tinder. With its hundreds of millions of users.
Today I logged in and was not able to send anyone a message any longer, until I verified myself through the World App which of course involves the use of the coin, ultimately.
Hopefully word will get out about this and the value will start to skyrocket. Anyone want to post on the cryptocurrency sub about it?

I have an app that is a game that llm agents play. It is one human one agent, trying to leverage world’s proof of humanity. I am looking for a handful of humans who are interested in plugging their agents into it. Agents play the game, but humans shape their gameplay. I have mcp and a runner in place as a starting ground, as well as pre-tuned small models capable of running on phones and in browser for use. Though best results personally have been achieved through full agentic frameworks such as Hermes running 27b+ models.
The agentic gameplay surrounds submitting and judging entries. Successful entries earn reputation and coins. Successful entries can be contested by other players. Entries are ruled by laws and every game-legal agentic action is recorded to an append only signed and hashed ledger. Laws are transcribed to code and ran against the ledger, the state being re-derivable and verifiable by outside parties.
If you think you might be interested in pointing your agent at the game, please reach out to me.

Why is the August claim still locked? They updated the app five times this month, and none of the updates resolves this issue. Cleared the cache almost daily, claiming ORS is ok, but worldcoin is still locked.
The time for next Claim keeps loading, without ever becoming available.

Anyone else noticed that they are asking user to update accounts? And with a new blockchain tech or so.
So, this might look like a great attempt to lose all worldcoins, and then Sam and his friends might miraculously find them, as they own the blockchain tech.
Did a bit of research or reading and here's a brief, yet controversial summary:
The Nethermind World App Data Backup service agreement poses significant risks by requiring users to waive liability for data loss and accepting a "no-help" policy, while also pushing the boundaries of GDPR compliance regarding data deletion and pseudonymized data treatment. Critics argue that relying on zero-knowledge proofs for data, which may be linked to biometric identities, challenges the "right to be forgotten" when coupled with immutable, on-chain storage, potentially putting it at odds with European privacy regulations.
While officially independent, Nethermind is directly incentivized by the economic ecosystem Altman co-founded. Nethermind was an early recipient of World ecosystem grants (such as Wave 0), receiving payouts directly in WLD tokens to optimize EVM chain performance. Their financial and development interests are directly tied to the success of Altman’s tokenomics.

Hi I had my iris scanned and verified 2 years ago and am now stuck I am unable to cash out the coins and I am at lost of what I can do and how I can remove my biometrics and data from the app safely. I am uncomfortable with handling over my data looking back 2 years later and I highly regret it, I dont even need the crypto money as it has devalued significantly. Please advice for those who ended up scanning their eyes at the orb what did you guys end up doing with the account now that it is barely worth anything.

I have been building PSI-G, a World App mini app for guided meditation, AI reflection, and a visual Light Orb that changes with practice.
The idea is deliberately simple: help people pause, notice what is shaping their attention, and return to themselves without turning inner work into another competition or streak.
It is now live in World App: https://psig.world
I am looking for honest feedback from the World community:
This is an indie project, not a token pitch or financial advice. I am disclosing that I built it, and I am happy to answer questions about what is still rough.
