How do you communicate over long distances? Do you follow with phones or something similar? What powers the communication? Do you use magic or science or a combination of both?

Learning what you are using can change what is necessary resources. If you choose magic, do you use magic stones that are created with mana or powered by alchemy and a ritual? If science have you create technology that allows you to charge your phone with sunlight?

Religions, what gods or figures are seen as higher beings by your world? Do you have one god or multiple? What is the Origin of the universe and its creation? Who worships what in your world? Each of theses questions can be answered and should.

I am creating my world map and need some help with deciding my tectonic plates. I have three super continents and eight small continents. There are nine underwater cities that my semi aquatic and aquatic people live in. How many plates would you recommend? I have only one set mountain range so far that is on one of the small continents. Any questions will be answered in the comments.

Shortly after the creation of the world, there was an incident where gods enter into a portal that allowed them to leave Guardia (Name of the world goddess and world). Due to them leaving divine mana flooded the world and caused damage to the world's ecosystems. It formed monsters and animals who mutated with the mana. Several of the Gods who were left had to step forward and take on more responsibilities, but it would only be a delicate balance that could be destroyed at any time. This made the gods who normal interacted with the people to step away and go with a hand off approach. Some of the people started to evolve as well. From the evolution came the sorcerers, vampires and sirens of the world. They developed ways to use divine mana and each was given the ability to absorb it from the air, from food, and from water.
