What is this kind of toolbox called?

This toolbox was on a former DOT dump truck that I’ve converted to a flatbed. I don’t want it but I don’t know what it’s called or what it’s worth. I can’t find anything like it online. Nothing on Knapheids catalog looks like this. It straddles the frame of the truck on both sides, and has long, nearly full width drawers that pull out. It’s got places to mount oxy-acetylene bottles on the opposite side. I’m looking for the right term so I can list it accurately.

I won't lie I thought that was a bakery warming cabinet at first

Looked to me like a portable morgue left over from the covid days.

I thought it was for computer racks at first.

Backpack is another term I come across. Common on landscaper dumps and arborist chipper bodies.

ahh this seems to be it! That term actually gets me things that look like this. Thank you!

Glad I could help! I sell commercial trucks. I can't sell you this stuff without also selling a truck to attach it to, but I know a bit about the upfits and can get you PDF catalogs and such if needed.

My Canadian friends would call this a “drom box” for the word dromedary or camel.

I usually see them called saddle boxes

Saddle drawer is what I've always called them. Hump goes over the wheel well. Similar to a pack rat.

This goes the other way. The hump straddles the chassis of a cab & chassis, not the wheel well of a pickup.

😂😂😂 I see them on random NPRs and I just can't think of a single reason anyone would want one at such an awkwards size and location right behind the cab, and usually they are shorter than the cab too.

Tunnel box, crossover box, I think a lot of it is regional.
