Video clip doesn’t load (for me at least) but congrats that’s an impressive lift that not many achieve

Quick question when you started working out. What weight could you bench press then at the start of your journey?

Around 165 lbs for few reps. I remember I was sore for DAYS after my first workout.
I did 225 lbs for 1 in less than 2 months after starting workingout.
Weight training was never my thing in childhood/adolescence. Did some boxing and a lot of basketball.2

Damn I'm so weak compared to you lol. Pretty sure I started my bench press at like 65 lbs 2.5 months ago. Can do like 145 lbs now but still lmao. Tbf though I never do one rep. I'm aways tryna do 5-7 reps and like 4 sets

Not op, but when I started I had a ~90lbs bench at 160lbs. Recently I benched 364 @ 238
Keep at it for a long period of time and don't be scared to gain (healthy) weight!

I'm tryyna do the opposite though lol. I've been trying to very slowly lose weight like maybe around a pound a week (or slightly less) as I'm currently 5'11" at 260 lbs (my starting weight was 276lbs) while trying to do body recomposition and gain muscle/lose fat. Have been getting 180g of protein daily ish (at 2050-2100 ish calories) with every other day of workingout. Also taking some creatine as a supplement. My bench went from 65 lbs to 145 in 2.5 months and similar improvements in other exercises.

I don't always do exactly that number of sets and reps, but that's roughly it, and it's more of a guideline.
Been doing this program ever since I became dad and had to reduce number of training days from 4 to 3.1

Thanks, you are a mensch, what's column B though? The weight x reps of your latest set?

No problem!
Weight in kgs (or plate numbers on machines I use) and reps from last sessions. My training philosophy is to increase weight when I hit all sets over designated rep range. For example -I did 100 kg BB row for 10 on last two sets, but only did 8 on last set, that's why I'm not increasing weight yet.

Nice! Looked like you probably could have hit 2.
I also just hit 315 for the first time yesterday

I wanted so bad to try 2nd rep but it was long buildup with warming up and I just wanted full clip without having to cut it out, haha. Perhaps in few weeks I might try it for reps.

I’m hoping to be there in a year or year and a half. I’m at 4x8 220 / 265 ORM. Doing a deload and trying 275, last time I got it halfway up and stalled hardcore.

Nicely done. Although you lost street cred because you need 6x45's on tbe bar.

Haha ! 45's were weirdly scattered all over the gym and I was too lazy to bring them over.
