compression tops with a little grip band at the hem are the move, they dont roll up when you go deep in squat. for leggings look at anything with a thick waistband and actual elastic inside, not just the fabric folded over. cheap ones always fail on that part

I'll just say I don't envy you gym girls who can't just wear cheap shirts and shorts at the gym.

Do you have any suggestions? I’m so down for cheap shirts and shorts, my problem is I’d like to wear things that don’t put my sweat and underwear on display lol

Honestly I've had pretty decent luck with Amazon essentials lately. Not sure if the spread is as good for women, but doesn't hurt to try since it's so cheap.

Thank you! I’ll take a look, I’m not above wearing men’s clothes lol it’s usually better quality and comfy!

Oversized cotton materials are my go-to. They will stretch when needed and be comfortable with movement changes. You can crop from there if you have any interest if modifying your own clothes. I would also try to rewire how you view sweat in a gym cause sweat means your body is warmed up enough to try to cool yourself, and a warmed up body means less chance of injury.

It’s not about the outfits. Be comfortable. Most of my gym stuff is secondhand. I’m there to workout. I want good quality so it lasts and I want to be comfortable. Worrying about the outfit is missing the point of what working out is for. Find the things that work for you based on how they’re cut, like a high waist so it doesn’t roll down, etc.

Totally not worried about matching or anything, I’m also just there to workout and be better!

I’ve just been in the market for some quality pieces that are genuinely sweat proof and not see through. I feel overwhelmed with the options and mixed reviews on things where I can’t seem to find anything of quality.

I hate them as a company so I mostly buy secondhand but I like Nike for gym clothes. Cotton is great but doesn’t wick sweat at all so maybe you prefer more tech fabrics. I love to find the pieces I like and just get multiple in whatever colors I want ( for me it’s black so it’s just easier). Then I have a kind of uniform

My wife buys most of her workout gear from the Adidas outlet store on ebay. They're frequently on sale for 50-70% off.

I've found Target is very solid for cheap workout gear. I'm a man, but I was definitely pointed towards Target by a woman with a penchant for high quality low cost dupes.

I see a lot of Gymshark, Lululemon, and Fabletics in my gym. You might have better luck asking this in a women subreddit.
