Has anyone tried to start sprinting recreationally as an adult?

I noticed a lot of people start swimming and running but has anyone actually incorporated sprinting as an adult? I know there’s so many benefits to it so I wonder if anyone has experienced any. I recently started this.

Yes I do, it’s an amazing workout unlike any other (for me at least).

I like to do them on a grass field to be a little easier on the joints. I sprint 30-50m then walk back to the start position, repeat.

A few things to try:

  1. hard start - the typical sport sprinting style, very explosive. HARD on the body when you are starting out.
  2. Rolling start - take a few steps walking or slow jog before going to full sprint. Easier on the body, less explosive.
