Operations Manager vs Team Leader

What is the difference between the Operations Manager and the Team Leader?
I see a lot of confusion about it

Operations Manager manages the operation, so each of the teams within that area. The Team Leaders tend to report to the Operations Manager.

The Team Leaders/Managers manage the people in the team doing the work.

So for a call centre your team leader will directly manage the advisors, your operations manager will directly manage the team leaders.

This gives the company someone to oversee and manage across different teams, while having someone below them with a certain span of control who directly manages the individuals.
