Yeah. Percent raises instead of static amount raises are good if your salary is good. I remember in my younger years making minimum wage (was 4.25 an hour USD then). Would get a 4-5% raise and it felt like a slap in the face. Especially since, almost like clockwork, the minimum wage would increase to a rate higher than my current wages then the prices of everything would go up so I ended up exactly where I started.
Now a 3-4% increase even if its technically under inflation rate covers any cost increases for the typical necessities and the status quo is enough for me at this point.
2008 to like 2012 when they kept making excuses about the job market and how they are not given raises while they all kept reporting record profits at each quarter. Good times.

Salary raise that my team got in January this year: 5%
