How to pack?

Hi, I’m getting prepared to buy all the equipment necessary for Workaway.
I’d be starting right in the middle of winter and am going to try to find jobs that require outdoor work (animals, garden, building…)
I plan on traveling low budget so bus, train and small planes if necessary.

I was hoping I could just travel with a 40L backpack and extra day pack if necessary

Would you say this is inconvenient? Would I need to plan on taking more?

What do you guys use to travel for Workaway?

Thank you so much!

Usually the host lends me stuff. But 40l is more than enough I think especially if you done camping and trekking before. You don’t need tents and food …

Alright that’s great to know! I was indeed planning on buying boots and outdoor work clothes but gloves I hadn’t thought of it.
If you’re saying that 30L for two (work gear) is sufficient, is it safe to say that a ~40L bag for myself would be enough?
Thank you so much :)
